Fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty predict Taylor Swift will debut the first song from her new album in one of the show’s final episodes

Fans of The Summer I Turned Pretty believe Taylor Swift will release the first single from her upcoming album, The Life Of A Showgirl, during one of the show’s final episodes.

Viewers think the song could be a surprise drop shortly after Taylor’s recent engagement announcement to Travis Kelce.

Throughout the three seasons, fans have followed the main character Belly Conklin as she navigates her feelings between her fiancé Jeremiah Fisher and his brother, her first love, Conrad.

Less than 24 hours before the release of the eighth episode, fans took to social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram to share their theories.

One fan posted a TikTok saying, “Okay but can you imagine if the song Jenny Han had to fight so hard for was a song from The Life Of A Showgirl that plays when Belly and Conrad end up together.”

They added in the caption that Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce would make the moment feel even more real.

On Instagram, another fan shared the same theory, pointing out that Jenny Han, author of The Summer I Turned Pretty, is a huge Taylor Swift fan.

She posted a screenshot of Jenny’s recent Instagram, where Jenny is seen looking at a massive billboard of the show in Times Square. The fan found it suspicious that Jenny and the show posted their Times Square photos around the same time, hinting at a connection.

Another commenter mentioned an interview from this season where the cast was asked about their favorite Taylor Swift song used in the show. Someone said they couldn’t reveal it because Jenny worked really hard to get it, implying it might be from Taylor’s new album and was kept under wraps before its release.

Others agreed, saying Jenny has always been a big fan and that Taylor’s music has featured in each season. They speculated that the show and Taylor could be secretly planning to feature a new single on the show.

One more fan urged viewers to rewatch the last episode closely, noting several orange and green visuals, suggesting hidden clues pointing to the theory.

In the eighth episode, Belly and Jeremiah’s wedding at the Cousins’ clubhouse takes an unexpected turn when Jeremiah calls off the wedding after discovering Belly’s feelings for his brother, Conrad.

Just moments before walking down the aisle, Jeremiah ends their relationship, leaving fans watching as Belly heads to the airport to catch a flight to Paris a trip she had previously given up for the wedding.

As Taylor Swift’s Cardigan plays a song often linked to Belly and Conrad’s relationship Belly spots Conrad sitting across the departures lounge, unaware the wedding was canceled and likely on his way back to Stanford, where he’s studying medicine.

Fans will have to wait until the ninth episode to see what happens when Belly and Conrad reunite. Before the wedding, Conrad had said goodbye to her, apologizing for the pain of being near her and promising to leave, but not before kissing her on the forehead and saying, “Being with you, loving you, it was all worth it.”
