Kate wrote in the caption: “A new beginning, a fresh start — we’ll never know unless we give it a try.”

Kate and Rio Ferdinand surprised fans over the weekend by announcing they’ve moved to Dubai.

The 46-year-old former footballer and 33-year-old Kate have relocated with their children from Bromley in South East London to the UAE.

Kate gave fans a peek at their beautiful new home in Dubai via Instagram, captioning it: “A new chapter, a fresh start — because if we don’t try, we’ll never know.”

Experts believe the couple, whose combined net worth is reportedly £57 million, are well-positioned for success in their new life abroad.

Professor Jonathan Shalit OBE, chairman of Intertalent, said that Dubai offers plenty of opportunities for Kate and Rio. He explained that their strong reputation in the UK, built on themes like resilience, blended family life, and wellbeing can be leveraged in Dubai to open up major opportunities.

He explained that potential opportunities for the couple include luxury and family-focused brand partnerships in areas like fashion, wellness, and real estate. They could also benefit from influencer work, tourism projects, and high-profile speaking engagements, where Rio’s sporting background and Kate’s expertise in family and wellbeing will have strong appeal.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede added that moving to Dubai could significantly boost their earnings in the coming months. He noted that many wealthy brands in the UAE are likely eager to collaborate with them both as a couple and individually.

Kate also shared a series of photos on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of their new life in the sunny Gulf state.

The first photo showed Kate and Rio with three of their children, gazing at the iconic Burj Khalifa.

Kate captioned it: “A new chapter, a fresh start — because if we don’t try, we’ll never know.”

Kate shared her excitement, saying, “Ahhh! We’ve talked about this for so long, and now it’s finally real… we’re here 🥹 We’re making a new home in the place where we first met!”

She added that while they’re already missing some special people and feeling a mix of fear, excitement, and nerves, they’re mostly ready for fresh starts and new beginnings.

Other photos in the series showed the family relaxing by a pool and gave glimpses of their new home.

Kate and Rio have two children together: son Cree, four, and daughter Shae, two. Rio also has three children from a previous marriage—Lorenz, Tate, 16, and Tia, 13.
