Love is Blind star reveals expecting first child with new fiancée after previous proposal fell through on Netflix

The 31-year-old shared that his new fiancée is pregnant, just weeks after they got engaged.

The Netflix star shared joyful news just a year after his proposal on the show didn’t go as planned. Posting photos of his fiancée Shani Goldstein, who was on Big Brother Israel, Sam wrote: “This time last year was really tough for me after Love Is Blind it wasn’t easy!

I gave up on everything and shut myself away. But now, 12 months later, I’m engaged to the love of my life and we’re expecting our first baby.”

“Life is a journey, and remember, when you’re feeling down, you can always come back stronger!

Thanks to everyone who believed in me and gave me a chance.”

On the first UK series of Love Is Blind last year, Sam connected with Nicole Stevens. Their bond grew as they got to know each other in the pods, but Nicole found herself caught between Sam and Benaiah Grunewald-Bridey.

Benaiah told Nicole he thought Sam was on the show more for fame than for love. Despite this, Sam proposed to Nicole and she said yes. However, Nicole ended things with Sam in Greece before getting back together with Benaiah, who later proposed to her.

Sam was labeled a producer plant, villain, and called “a walking red flag” and “cringe” after awkwardly saying he was looking for the “best wife for his kids.” One of TV’s most uncomfortable moments came when Sam met Nicole in person for the first time after proposing through a wall he mistakenly put the ring on the wrong hand and told her she had “boring brown eyes” before awkwardly saying “I think I love you.”

The backlash left Sam feeling so low that he said he “didn’t want to be around anymore.” Speaking exclusively last year, he admitted he struggled deeply in the days after the show aired. He tried to stay strong but ended up locking himself away in his flat, eventually breaking down during a call with production welfare, admitting he was struggling and felt he couldn’t continue.

Looking back, Sam said he wishes he had opened up on day one instead of waiting three days. He explained that it was tough because if he had actually committed a crime or hurt someone, he would understand the backlash but he just felt unfairly treated.
