Former Disney Star Josh Sussman Marries Longtime Love Madoka Muramatsu After 6 Years Together

Disney star Josh Sussman is married!

The actor — who is best known for his roles on Wizards of Waverly Place, Fish Hooks, Drake & Josh, and Glee — tied the knot with Japanese character designer and illustrator Madoka Muramatsu in Beverly Hills, California, on Wednesday, July 30.

The couple announced the news the following day in a joint post on Instagram. Based on their wedding photos, the pair appeared to tie the knot at the Beverly Hills Courthouse before they headed to The Beverly Hills Hotel to celebrate.

“Recently Josh asked me if I wanna marry him and I said ‘YES!’💍✨,” Muramatsu wrote in the caption of their post. “6 years after we got together, I finally became Mrs. Sussman!💕.”

She continued: “Josh is the sweetest, kindest and the most patient person I’ve ever known. I’m so lucky to be your wife and spend the happiest time for the rest of my life ❤️.”

For the big day, Muramatsu wore a simple white dress and long white bow in her hair. Sussman opted a black suit with a maroon bow tie. In several photos, they each held various florals, including sunflowers and baby’s breath.

A few close-up shots showcased the newlyweds’ rings. Sussman opted for a thin gold wedding band, while Muramatsu chose a chevron band to stack with her pear-shaped diamond engagement ring.

“It’s been a week since we married! Thank you so much for lots and lots of love!” Muramatsu wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Aug. 6. “We’re overwhelmed with all the happy reactions and still writing back to all of you. It’s been the best week ever.”

Sussman re-posted the sweet message to his own Instagram Story, adding, “I love being married to Madoka.”

The couple also shared a black-and-white wedding photo strip on their Stories, writing, “Forever Mr. and Mrs. Sussman.”

While Sussman and Muramatsu have kept their relationship relatively private on social media, the pair were spotted together in Los Angeles, in August 2023, walking the picket line in support of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike.
