Valerie Bertinelli Posts Rare Childhood Photo Honoring Brother on His Birthday

Valerie Bertinelli’s birthday post for her younger brother was a blast from the past.

The celebrity chef honored Patrick Bertinelli with a nostalgic image of the two siblings as kids, posing outdoors in matching striped ensembles.

“Happy birthday to the World’s Okayest Brother! 😝🥰,” Valerie captioned the retro snap in an Instagram carousel shared on Monday, Aug. 4. “Rock those stripes little Mud 🕺I love youuuuuu ♥️”

The next slide is a recent photo of the pair, together on a couch with Valerie’s head on Patrick’s shoulder.

Fans couldn’t get enough of the brother-sister duo’s Brady Bunch-era style in the throwback picture.

“For a second, i thought that was Bobby Brady lol,” read one comment.

“That first one is a snapshot into the 70’s. Stylish then and now,” someone else wrote.

“I want your striped HOT PANTS!” another commenter said, referring to Valerie’s shorts, which she paired with knee socks and a black sleeveless top.

Last month, Valerie gave more insight into their relationship when she shared some candid shots from a FaceTime call with her brother on Instagram.

“My brother @patrickbertinelli and I go through a few different emotions on FaceTime. 😆,” she wrote on July 18. “The look on my face on the second slide is…classic and typical.”

Valerie added, “And yes, yes, I know my brother is handsome. Ew. He’s also very happily married to @stacyblog ♥️”

Patrick’s wife, Stacy, replied, “Thanks, Sis! The Uncle Pat Fan Club is pretty fierce.”

In May, the One Day at a Time star posted photos and videos of the siblings together on a trip to Paris two years earlier.

“Trying to take photos with my family is a pain in the a– and that pain in the a– starts with my brother and has now seeped to my son,” she began the caption, referring to Wolfgang Van Halen, 34, the son she shares with the late Eddie Van Halen.

Valerie then shared her playful longtime nickname for her brother.

“I will save any story of Wolfie for another day as I think I’ve embarrassed him enough, but this is my brother @patrickbertinelli. Mud, as I call him,” she wrote. “It’s a nickname he’s had since he was two maybe? (again, another story) or as some of you might know him, uncle Pat.
