Is For Dogs’ Sake getting another series?

After weeks of speculation about the show’s future, Pete Wicks confirmed the exciting news on Friday, April 25th, with a video shared from the Dogs Trust rehoming center in Basildon.

He announced: “WE ARE BACK … 🎥 🐾🖤

“For me, hearing that Series 1 had such a positive impact on the growing number of dogs being rescued is what truly matters. The real heroes of this show are the @dogstrust staff and volunteers – their work is incredible, so expect more episodes showcasing their dedication. Prepare for tears, laughter, and more beautiful souls 🖤

Unsurprisingly, fans were thrilled by the announcement.

One fan wrote: “That’s the news we’ve all been waiting for, Pete,” while another added: “The BEST! So proud of you and this show xx.” A third fan commented: “Absolutely brilliant news! You should have taken over Paul’s show, but I’m so glad you have your own. You deserve it ❤️.”

Others joined in with excitement, with one person writing: “This is great news! Can’t wait! Congratulations! ❤️” and another saying, “That’s such great news… really enjoyed the first series ❤️.”

How many series?

As Pete mentioned in his video, For Dogs’ Sake has been renewed for two future series AND a Christmas special.

When is it on TV?

There’s no official release date yet for when series two and three will air, but Pete has confirmed that filming for season two has already begun.

Sharing updates on Instagram, Pete told his followers: “We are back in the thick of it filming series 2 of For Dogs Sake with @dogstrust, and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait for you to see it later this year. It’s already been full of tears and laughter, the best team, and most importantly, some unbelievable dogs… 🐶 🖤 📸: @jamesrudland.”

The Christmas special will air sometime over the festive period.

What channel is it on?

For Dogs’ Sake airs on free-to-air TV channel U&W (formally known as W).

The channel is number 25 on Freeview.

Who hosts the show?

Former TOWIE and Strictly Come Dancing star, as well as KISS presenter, Pete Wicks hosts the show, with many praising his love for dogs and his presenting skills during the first series, which aired earlier in 2025.

Ahead of the first series, Pete shared: “Anyone who knows me knows that I prefer animals to people, so this show is a real passion project for me! With two rescue dogs of my own, animal welfare is close to my heart, and I am super excited to be teaming up with U&W for this amazing opportunity.”

Where is it filmed?

Filming takes place at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre in Basildon.

How many episodes?

Series one was made up of four episodes. It’s not yet been announced how many episodes will feature in series two and three.
