Kelly Ripa credited her stunning looks to her mom, Esther, who shares the same gorgeous genes.
The two looked almost identical in a rare family photo Kelly shared on social media.
Kelly Ripa posted a heartfelt birthday tribute to her dad, Joe Ripa, on Instagram. The video included a touching collection of family photos from her childhood up to now.
She captioned the post, “Let’s all wish Viewers Choice winner Joe Ripa a happy birthday! We love you dad.”
The photos mainly highlighted Kelly’s glamorous mom, Esther. One showed a young Joe and Esther at a black-tie event, with Esther wearing an elegant black sequined dress and her brunette hair in a neat bun.
Another photo featured Esther and Joe posing with a young Kelly and her sister Linda. Esther looked just like Kelly, wearing a baby pink dress and her blonde hair styled in a chic updo.
Unlike Kelly, Esther prefers to stay out of the spotlight. Kelly shared in a 2022 interview with Katie Couric that her mom chose not to be featured much in her memoir for that reason.
Kelly Ripa shared that while writing about her mom in her memoir, her mom was very protective and often told her to remove certain parts, not wanting too much about her personal life shared.
In October 2022, Kelly revealed on LIVE that her mom had undergone heart surgery, which led to her parents moving in with Kelly and her husband, Mark Consuelos.
She later joked on Late Night with Seth Meyers that although they were empty nesters, the house quickly became full again—this time with her parents living with them.
Esther had heart surgery in September and Kelly said she “did great.”
Kelly shared a funny moment about her mom wearing a turban wrap at the hospital, which she couldn’t keep on during surgery. The next morning, Esther surprised everyone with a stylish French bob haircut.
Kelly’s parents, Joseph and Esther, married in April 1962 and have two daughters together.
