Carrie Underwood reportedly forced to leave her 400-acre family farm

Carrie Underwood was forced to leave her 400-acre family farm in Franklin, Tennessee, over the weekend.

Known for her love of gardening and calling her garden her “happy place,” she had to evacuate after a recent frightening incident.

Carrie shared on Instagram that while picking blueberries and relaxing in her orchard, she had to quickly leave when a huge swarm of bees appeared.

She captioned the clip, “Had to get out of the orchard when the bees started swarming…”

Carrie soon discovered that thousands of bees had built a massive nest on one of her blueberry bushes.

She captioned a close-up photo of the massive bee nest on her blueberry bush, saying, “They landed on a blueberry bush … maybe we can catch them tomorrow if they’re still there…”

Carrie’s orchard is filled with more than just blueberry bushes—it also has numerous apple and peach trees, along with various berry shrubs.

She frequently shares photos of her expansive garden and once posted a detailed video showcasing the wide variety of fruits and vegetables she grows, including mushrooms, zucchinis, squash blossoms, and watermelons.

Carrie captioned her Instagram clip, “My garden is one of my happy places… when I’m getting my hands dirty it’s my time for thought and reflection. Enjoy a little taste of calm… from my #Garden to yours.”

In 2023, Carrie Underwood added a large 16ft by 28ft greenhouse to her farm, enabling her to grow fruits and vegetables year-round.

She often shares updates on social media showcasing the greenhouse and her homegrown produce.

The greenhouse is filled with various planting beds, including L-shaped, rectangular, round, and outdoor raised beds.

Inside the greenhouse, Carrie has a potting bench positioned on the south side, nestled between citrus trees.

There are herb beds and seedling tables growing a variety of plants like arugula, chives, wild strawberries, squash, carrots, beets, radishes, and tomatoes.

Her expansive property also features a chicken coop where Carrie keeps hens and collects fresh eggs for her family.

Carrie lives with her husband, Mike Fisher, and their two sons, Isaiah, 10, and Jacob, six.

In 2011, the couple spent $3 million on the 400-acre land, according to Variety, and built their dream home featuring private horse stables and a lake.

In 2016, Carrie shared with Country Living that she and her husband Mike were designing their forever home, with her must-haves including a wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing, and rocking chairs.

Their completed house includes multiple bedrooms, with the master bedroom featuring a walk-in closet filled with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes packed with clothes, shoes, and bags, as well as bathrooms, living areas, and a basement.
