Mary-Kate Olsen was seen in the Hamptons on Sunday sporting an unusually casual outfit, ditching her usual designer style for flip-flops.
The 39-year-old fashion designer and former actress, who recently celebrated her birthday with twin sister Ashley on June 13, wore black sweatpants and an oversized white T-shirt. She completed the low-key look with black oval sunglasses.
Mary-Kate Olsen topped off her laid-back look with a light-colored baseball cap over her long, tousled brunette hair. She was seen carrying a brown paper bag and—most surprisingly—wearing flip-flops. Despite the relaxed style, the simple footwear might still come with a hefty price tag, as her luxury brand The Row faced criticism last year for selling jelly shoes priced at $900.

Mary-Kate and her fraternal twin sister Ashley made a successful transition from childhood stars to major figures in the fashion industry. Together, they co-founded the luxury fashion brand The Row, now valued at $1 billion. Known for their rare public appearances and interviews, the twins typically draw attention with their signature blend of bohemian and classic fashion when they do step out.
They are the older siblings of Elizabeth, Trent, Courtney, and Jake. Mary-Kate, Ashley, Elizabeth, and Trent share the same parents—David and Jarnette Olsen, who divorced in 1996. Courtney and Jake are from David Olsen’s second marriage to McKenzie.
Although not identical, Mary-Kate and Ashley both portrayed Michelle Tanner on Full House, beginning at just nine months old in 1987 and continuing until the show wrapped in 1995. By the time they were eight, the twins were already household names and ran their own production company, Dualstar.
After Full House ended, they quickly moved on to star in their first feature film, It Takes Two, alongside Steve Guttenberg and Kirstie Alley.

Mary-Kate Olsen divorced her husband, Olivier Sarkozy, in 2021 after six years of marriage. The couple had wed in a private ceremony in New York City in 2015.
Mary-Kate filed for divorce in April 2020 and, the very next day, requested an emergency order, alleging that Sarkozy was trying to force her out of their shared home, according to The US Sun. The divorce was finalized in January 2021, nine months after the initial filing.
Though they didn’t have children together, Mary-Kate had taken on the role of stepmother to Sarkozy’s two children, Margot and Julien, from his previous marriage to Charlotte Bernard.
