Millie Bobby Brown talked about the “adult relationship” she shares with her Enola Holmes 2 co-star Henry Cavill, saying they maintain “strict boundaries” between them.
Millie Bobby Brown, 18, shared how working with her Enola Holmes 2 co-star Henry Cavill, 39, was very different from working with her Stranger Things castmates.
She described their connection as an “adult relationship” because of Cavill’s clear “strict boundaries,” which contrasted sharply with her longtime friendship with actors like Noah Schnapp, 18, who she has known since they were kids.
In a recent interview, Millie was asked how her “camaraderie” with her Enola Holmes co-stars compares to her relationship with her Stranger Things castmates, including her on-screen adoptive brothers Noah and Charlie Heaton, 28.
Millie explained, “It’s different because I’ve known Noah and Charlie since I was 10, so working with them feels like being with school friends. But with Henry, it’s more of a mature, adult relationship.”
Millie and Henry have appeared together in both Enola Holmes films, having first met in July 2019 when filming for the first movie began.
She added, “[We have] a really good, healthy friendship—one that comes with clear terms and conditions.”

Millie explained that their friendship feels “healthy” because Henry sets clear boundaries about what they discuss regarding their personal lives.
She said, “I know Henry has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, ‘Millie, stop. No.’ And I’m like, ‘Got it.’”
Millie also noted how different this was from her relationship with her Stranger Things co-stars, who have grown up together.
She told Deadline, “With the Stranger Things cast, there are no boundaries because we’re like siblings. But Henry is very strict with me, and I respect that.”
Millie stars as the main character in Enola Holmes and its sequel, Enola Holmes 2, which just premiered on Netflix.

Henry reprises his role as her famous detective brother, Sherlock Holmes.

The actors recently appeared together at the red carpet premiere of the film, which continues Enola’s journey as a young detective.
Also featured in the first movie was Sam Claflin, known for Hunger Games and Peaky Blinders, who played their older brother, Mycroft Holmes.
