David Beckham back home after surgery; Victoria shares fun update

Sir David Beckham has come home following surgery for a broken wrist, and his wife Victoria Beckham posted a playful video of him in the kitchen.

Sir David Beckham has returned home after undergoing surgery, with his wife Victoria Beckham sharing an update this evening. Earlier reports had confirmed his hospitalisation.

Victoria, 51, posted a photo earlier in the day showing David, 50, lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling. The surgery was to treat a broken wrist injury he had sustained over 20 years ago during his football career.

Later, Victoria hinted at his discharge by posting a video on her Instagram Story of David standing in their kitchen, still wearing the sling and bandage.

In the video, David is shown looking over some vegetables like lettuce and cucumbers while Victoria comments off-camera, “So this weekend’s vegetable content.” She then zooms in and jokes, “Look — he’s really overachieving with the cucumbers.”

David looked unamused, but Victoria continued excitedly, saying, “Look at this!” She then began to ask, “Are they all from the…

David playfully interrupts, saying, “I’m not sure you can say that, darling!” But shortly after, he’s seen holding up a cucumber with a cheeky grin. Victoria’s laughter can be heard as the video ends.

Earlier, Victoria shared that David was recovering from an undisclosed health issue by posting a photo of him in a hospital bed wearing a gown and sling. She captioned the picture with, “Get well soon Daddy.”

Victoria later shared another photo showing a gift David received during his hospital stay—a bracelet with beads spelling out “get well soon,” sending a supportive message to her husband.

Though she didn’t initially reveal the reason for David’s hospitalization, it was later reported that he had recently undergone wrist surgery.

An insider revealed that David had a ‘secret’ surgery to repair a broken wrist, an injury dating back to a friendly football match against South Africa in 2003, before his retirement.

The source explained that the wrist had been causing him issues lately, so he decided to get it fixed. They also said he was expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.

The insider added that David hoped to be well enough to travel to the US in time for Inter Miami’s upcoming match against his former team, Paris Saint-Germain, in the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday.
