Charlotte Dawson, a mother of three, has shared that she’s been diagnosed with a health condition that’s causing her to still look pregnant three months after giving birth.
Despite the challenges of sleepless nights with a newborn, Charlotte Dawson is glowing with happiness. The daughter of famed comedian Les Dawson, Charlotte, 32, recently welcomed her third child, baby Gigi, on March 8. She also has two young sons, Noah, four, and Jude, two, and feels her family is now complete.
We caught up with Charlotte and her kids at the Pro Am Padel Tour event, where she played alongside celebrities like Jason Manford and Richard Fleeshman. Engaged to Matt Sarsfield, 33, Charlotte laughs about being “outnumbered” by her kids and shares insights into the joyful chaos of her growing family. She also reveals when she and Matt plan to get married.
When asked about life with three young children, Charlotte described it as total chaos—but a beautiful kind. She said her kids mean everything to her, especially now that she finally has a little girl. Her two boys adore their baby sister. Although it’s really tough going from two kids to three—feeling like she has ten because she’s outnumbered—she believes it will all be worth it. She looks forward to the kids growing up, playing together, and becoming best friends.
When talking about life with toddlers, Charlotte said they’re very clumsy. She described her son Jude as her “anxiety child” because she’s constantly worried and feels like she has to watch him everywhere—from head to toe and all around him.
Charlotte thinks the toddler stage Jude is at is the toughest because he’s always on the move. But despite that, Jude is a happy, cheerful little boy who sleeps well and stays in his own cot—unlike his brother Noah. Jude’s bedtime is by 7 p.m., so the hectic part of the day ends early. Noah still brings some chaos but is growing more independent, enjoying playing alone and relaxing with TV and films. He’s quite needy and loves being around the family all the time.
Charlotte is certain she doesn’t want any more children, even though her fiancé Matt thinks they might have one more. She feels complete with her little girl and two boys, who are close friends. Now, she wants to focus on her relationship with Matt and maybe think about getting married.
She joked that she’s not wearing her engagement ring because it didn’t fit during pregnancy, and then the diamond actually fell out in the bath! Luckily, she found it in the water, which she took as a good sign for their future together.
Charlotte says they might get married once things calm down a bit with the kids. She’d love for baby Gigi to walk down the aisle in a cute little dress, so she’s prepared to wait. For now, she feels like she can’t even organize her own life, let alone plan a wedding!
