Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden wisely consulted a sports expert before challenging her husband, Chris Hughes.

Amanda Holden with her husband Chris Hughes
Heart Radio presenter Amanda Holden provided an update after taking on a new challenge with her husband, Chris Hughes. The 54-year-old revealed that her husband had suggested they spend more time together, as their busy careers often led them to lead “separate lives.”
To Amanda’s surprise, her husband Chris enrolled them in badminton, and they played their first match against each other on Wednesday.
Before facing Chris on the court, Amanda sought advice from a badminton coach, Leon, during a live segment on Heart Radio. Leon shared tips such as wearing proper sports shoes and serving underarm. To help her win against her athletic husband, the coach also recommended playing the shuttle close to the net to make Chris move around more.
On Thursday’s radio show, Amanda updated listeners about their unique date night, calling it “so good.”

Amanda Holden issued an update about the pair’s newfound hobby
“We played for a solid hour, just messing around a bit. He won 21-15, but I thought that wasn’t bad for me,” Amanda shared.
She added, “I played it short like you [Jamie Theakston] told me to, but I never told him you gave me that advice.”
However, Amanda realized she had made a footwear mistake and quickly ordered a more appropriate pair of shoes.
She ended on a positive note about their badminton future: “This is the start of something beautiful… we just have to find the time each week, as that’s where we struggle. Honestly, we had so much fun and kept talking about how much we loved it.”
Amanda and Chris have been together for over 20 years, tying the knot in 2008.
The pair are proud parents to two daughters, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13.
