Fred Sirieix from First Dates is set to reveal surprising details about his family history on Who Do You Think You Are?

Set to air later this year, Who Do You Think You Are? promises an exciting lineup, including former BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Zoe Ball. A TV insider shared, “While Fred may not be the headliner, his family history is sure to be one of the most intriguing.

Although he’s known for being French, his genealogy journey is expected to uncover some surprising revelations. Fred recently discovered unexpected ancestry, and the show might explore that further, though producers are keeping the details under wraps.”

Fred shared that a DNA test indicates he likely has significant ancestry from the British Isles. He revealed, “I’m six percent Welsh, with some Irish and English roots as well. It’s not a big surprise, though, because my hometown of Limoges was once a Celtic settlement about 3,000 years ago. The Celts traveled from Wales and Ireland to Brittany, and then to Limoges, which explains why my DNA shows I’m 78 percent French.”

Fred has also been busy marrying his partner of seven years, known as Fruitcake, with whom he has appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox. The couple tied the knot in Jamaica and recently shared photos from their special day on Instagram. One might wonder if she knows her husband isn’t as French as she originally thought…

The brutal murder of Brianna Ghey will be the subject of an upcoming ITV documentary. Produced by MultiStory Media, the film will feature an emotional interview with Brianna’s mother, Esther, who will speak about the heartbreaking loss following her daughter’s tragic stabbing by two 15-year-olds. The documentary is set to air on ITV1 later this year.

Unforgotten is set to return for a seventh season on ITV. The popular crime drama, starring Sanjeev Bhaskar as DI Sunil Khan and Sinead Keenan as DCI Jessica James, continues to captivate audiences. The latest series, which concluded this week, drew an impressive 7.4 million viewers for its launch episode.
