Giancola had previously shared her plans to start a family through in vitro fertilization (IVF) during a September 2024 appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
“I’m nervous, I am so nervous,” she said about documenting her IVF journey on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
“I go through it on the show, but I was so nervous about the whole thing. … I wasn’t sure what to film. It was just a scary process in general because it’s so personal.”
Giancola froze her eggs at the age of 35 and shared her plans to start a family in the Season 7B premiere.
A few months later, in a November 2024 episode, she revealed that she had suffered a miscarriage.
“This has been a very long process,” she said of her IVF journey. “It’s been a lot of shots. It’s been a lot of hormones.”
Giancola described getting pregnant through IVF as a “magical moment” that became “devastating” when it was “taken away.”
