Kelvin Fletcher created a heartwarming moment as he surprised his father with his “dream car” – a luxurious Bentley – to celebrate his 60th birthday.
The Emmerdale star’s father, Warren, was visibly emotional, with tears welling in his eyes as he took in the generous gift. Kelvin, 37, had worked with a car dealership to secure the stunning vehicle, which is believed to be worth around £160,000.
When Warren first saw the sleek Bentley, he was so shocked that he assumed it was only a temporary loan, asking how long they had it for. The disbelief on his face quickly turned to pure joy as he realized the car was his to keep.
Kelvin shared snapshots of the special moment, including one of himself posing beside the impressive car and another of Warren, now composed, looking stylish and proud as he stood next to his dream ride.
Another touching photo showed Kelvin and Warren in a previous moment, sharing a drink together alongside brothers Dean and Brayden.
Kelvin also shared a heartfelt tribute to his father, expressing his deep admiration and love. He wrote:
“They say a picture says a thousand words. Happy 60th, Dad.
“My hero, my friend, and my Dad. You’re the kindest soul I know, always putting others before yourself. We know how much you’ve dreamed of this car, so seeing your face yesterday made my heart burst with pride and happiness.
“You deserve it, and we are so lucky to have you.”
Kelvin also took a moment to thank @baytreecars for helping make the surprise possible, praising them for providing the best service he had ever experienced.
Sharing his dad’s disbelief, he added: “He actually said to us, ‘How long have I got it for?’ Forever, Dad—it’s yours!”
